Katarina Pregl
Hey,
I am Katarina, co-founder of the Medū brand. I believe that beekeeping is at least a little bit in the blood of every Slovenian, but in my family, it has turned into a great passion. My father and brother Benjamin have been beekeepers for many years, and I soon joined them. I have always emphasized health and healthy skin, aiming to reduce the number of products I use to those that are truly natural and of high quality. This desire for simplicity and naturalness inspired the development of our own line of cosmetics.
With a strong connection to nature, I, along with Benjamin and formulator Ina, have created a line of natural honey cosmetics for skincare. Each product reflects my deep respect for nature and awareness of the beneficial properties of bee products. We aim for our cosmetics to restore the skin's natural beauty and health while providing the gentle care it needs.

My name is Benjamin Pregl, and together with my sister Katarina, I stand behind the cosmetics brand Medū, which comes from our rich family tradition of beekeeping. Since a young age, I have been surrounded by the scent of honey and the buzzing of bees, as our family has been dedicated to producing honey and honey-based beverages for generations.
In 2019, I decided to build upon our love for beekeeping and nature by creating something new. I began exploring the effects of bee venom in cosmetics with the company Bee Natural. After several years of research and learning, I joined forces with my sister Katarina to create a honey cosmetics brand that focuses on the exceptional properties of bee products.
My personal journey into the world of cosmetics is closely tied to my long-standing struggle with sensitive skin. For many years, I have battled seborrheic dermatitis and tried numerous creams and products that failed to provide a lasting solution. This experience motivated me to delve deeper into natural cosmetics. I believe in the power of natural ingredients, as we have evolved to be well-adapted to compounds from nature. Artificially created compounds have only been around for a few centuries, while natural ingredients have been part of our environment for millennia. Therefore, I wanted to create something based on the principles of natural honey cosmetics.
Medū is the result of our dedication, research, and deep respect for nature. Our products are carefully crafted for those who seek natural yet effective cosmetics. I am convinced that bees, with their precious gifts, allow us to create products that nurture the skin in a unique and gentle way.
